Night in a City

In the city was everything—bars, chain restaurants, clubs, supermarkets, malls, the odd commodities—and anything to make the ordinary feel extraordinary. At night the city lights itself up to attract both the foolhardy and the proud to the wonder and solace the city promises. Piper knew this and it came as no surprise to her because she had lived in and breathed "city" all her life.
